New cocktail recipes and descriptions 5/10/13


NEW COCKTAILS 4/26/13
These cocktails are made to be light, fun, and refreshing for the summer without being fruity/"girly"

I.                    Bloody monks
Named the bloody monks b/c Chartruese is made by monks and the Sangiovese looks like blood.
a.       1 oz Green Chartruese

b.      1 oz Yellow Chartruese

c.       .5 oz lime juice

d.      .5 oz ginger simple

e.      Erin’s lavender bitters

f.        Shake and serve in a low ball

g.       Top with Sangiovese

II.                  The Whitey Bulger

a.       Our take on the “Capone” cocktail from Chicago

b.      1.5 oz Diabolique

c.       1 oz Creole Shrubb

d.      .5 oz lime juice

e.      2 dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters

f.        Shake and strain into a chilled low ball

g.       Top with Cava

h.      Garnish with lime peel

III.                Fernet About It

a.       1 oz Carpano Antica

b.      .5 oz Fernet Branca

c.       .5 oz Liqor 43

d.      Dash of lime

e.      Shake and serve in a low ball

IV.                The Greener Side
This is a vegetable-centric cocktail, hence the name

V.                  1 ½ oz Yellow Chartruese

VI.                ½ oz Lilet

VII.              ½ Cucumber Water

VIII.            ½ Lime Juice

IX.                3 dashes Erin’s celery bitters

X.                  Shake and pour in high ball
