Soave Special Description

Gini, Garganega, Soave Classico
  • 100% Garganega
  • From Soave (pronounced “Swah-vey’) in Veneto, Italy. Veneto is a large wine-producing region in northeast Italy.
  • Wines from Soave must be made with at least 70% Garganega grapes.
  • Soave is one of Italy’s most famous white wine DOC’s in Italy. This wine became very trendy/popular in America in the 70’s/80’s. The trend died out as lesser quality Soaves were introduced to the market and Soave lost popularity.  Now things are coming full circle and people are now asking for Soave again.
  • Tasting Notes:  This is a white wine with a fuller body and a rich mouthfeel. It has notes of juicy, overripe fruit balanced by notes of almonds. This is a great recommendation for someone who likes fuller chardonnays or even new world sauvignon blanc drinkers.
